I'm not going into great depths on pros and cons
the ao was really cool it was one giant rubble pit there was some disappointment when finding out many of the building where out of play so it made the AO smaller then it looked on paper .

it seemed like every scenario tan always started right on top of our spawn in a small faction not really sure if we had forces embedded before game start, we still killed them or ran them off.

many people didn't read the fucking warnord almost seems like they need to run over the basic rules before game start :(
hit calling was better then most but still had some aholes who you shot all 3 in the open they jump back and only one pulls a dead rag and the other 2 pop out and shoot back shoot back

previous events the rule has always been you cannot shoot out of anything smaller then a pie pan I had a guy kill me and many others shooting out of a crack that was 2"x4"

coms seemed to be pretty good  except for that one guy at every game whose PTT is getting rubbed by their sling or some other shit and is keying up every 3 min of a sec .

now for the good Bubba Moore was great as always he was a blast to fight with  he is a true player  he was right up at the front with us as we hit the shanty town taking skulls.

the propane cannons smoke machines and the jeep with the AA and the training mortars where great it was like being at Irene.

I saw staff actually calling people out on violations still they need more staff for these events :(

staying in the barracks was a blast it was a Rated R room that would offed most from China many laughs were had.

I needed this weekend to get away it was just what I needed

Irene will be there this year and if you're going I suggest going to mikes tavern they had some great  fresh cooked grub in North Vernon.

only other mistake I made was I forgot to pack a few essentials like my hydro pack bladder hoes was still on my rig so I thought I had it :( so instead I carried a few bottles of water but it sucks to leave gear. if you go make sure to check everything 3 times

Had a great time running with Peli, 50 inch neck, joker, targetpractice, rated r, eagle, and beastmug. The laughs we had in the barracks were priceless. The AO was cool as all hell, and I will agree with everything peli said. My biggest bitch about this was comms. Some of it was my fault for not knowing how to program privacy settings in the channels I was using, but there is always that one guy who has extreme squelch, or whispers everything, or always is on vox and is a heavy breather, that just pisses me off.

I did learn one extremely important thing this weekend though. Chee bai gweilo is an awesome battle cry.

I was actually pretty happy overall with how this event went. Having played here before a few years ago at Irene I already knew what to expect from the AO, it was however smaller I think due to the smaller attendance compared to an Irene type event. What we played on this time was not everything MUTC has to offer, but usually where the fights end up concentrated anyways. How cool were those building shaking explosions?

I don't have much to complain about as far as hit calling goes, this was surprisingly one of the better of the larger ops I've been to that it was almost a nonissue. Same with overshooting, I had even less issues with that this time around.

Seemed to have a lot more staff on hand, even saw a lot of them helping to clarify issues ASAP.

Comms were typical for these types of events, start out pretty good but mid way go to shit. Oh well that's what yelling is for.

Missions seemed more thought out and planned than usual with the use of some props and RPers. Although a lot of stalemates as far as movement prevented accomplishing a lot of them. But my platoon leader did a great job keeping us in the loop as best as he could.

Running with Bubba as our CO is the reason I chose green. The man is funny as hell and just an all around good dude. Not to mention a great player/leader who has no issues fighting on the front lines. And our XO NextMayor was also in top form as far as command went.

The storms were pretty freaking badass, glad they didn't last to long though.

I'm also super impressed with my squad. Not only did we stay together longer than expected, we communicated well, and worked together even better. Especially for not really playing together much before. For having mostly newer players at least new to national level events you guys did a hell of a job. Asylum was a great medic, thanks for stepping up. And Red 2 did a great job running down those damn Technicals. I hope you guys enjoyed your first LC event.

It was nice running into and with (however briefly) with the rest of you AI guys during the event. It's always fun to pew pew with you.

Oh my gawd lort in hebin jebus was hanging in the barracks with you guys one hell of a time. I know most of us didn't get any sleep that first night. And I was at several points laughing so hard I was crying. It's been a minute since I laughed like that. It's always a pleasure boys, that in itself made the event for me worth attending. I look forward to doing it again. Beastmug I wish you the best in your porn endeavors and hey maybe you can give mini-me a call for some celebrity exposure (pun intended). I bet Echo could make it happen, you know if he does not destroy him first. Hahaha! 50 finally got to use his shotgun! Learned some bits of a different language from TargetPractice. Pablo was even there in spirit. We also had the biggest "fan".

"Is that shotgun real?" I bet he is still out their patrolling.

It looked like most people didn't go to the "eveningish/night" game so I'll pitch in for that part.

Probably the highlight of the weekend for me.  Squad on squad free for all that put people all over to space out the area we had to work with.  The squad I was with was made up of totally random people, but we ended up doing the most tactical, excellent work I'd seen all weekend.  We were able to stick together, quietly and quickly steamroll every squad we came across by the time they even realized we were there, take minimal casualties that were efficiently collected and mediced as a priority.  Absolutely fantastic.

But when things started getting dark and things started getting confused, I really got into it.  The squads fragmented and it turned into improvised groups of whoever could find each other banding together.  Beyond the few people you could directly see that you'd made friends with, anyone and everyone could be hostile.  Added a kind of aspect where you had to think "Should I shoot at this person?".  In my case, the answer was usually no, I usually tried to move and get close to people, cover my constantly changing squad.  Other people would be pegging shots at everything that moved.

The thinned out squad free for all really let me get all over the AO.  Actually really explore the whole place in a dynamic environment rather than fight a linear conflict.  So that's my $0.02 on what hasn't been gone over already.  But as a LionClaws first-timer, I had an absolute blast.  Really the kind of moments where you just think "F*** I love airsoft".

Where to begin?? I'm one of the LC noobs but man I had an absolute blast! I wasn't really sure what to expect, considering getting input from all sort of angles but as a whole my weekend at the MUTC was fantastic.

For the most part everyone had a great attitude towards any and all questions, and had a generally good humor about them.

Our squad was as Joker put, a mix of noobs and vets but we did work really well. Anytime someone needs a corpsman, I'm your guy! (Though I do prefer getting some trigger time too)

As a whole the WARSAW team was awesome! Seemed to be more laid back than the SOCOM side, so I think that lead to a more fun experience in my opinion.

Playing in the torrential downpour...sucked I thought at first, but after a while you just say "f*ck it" keep your powder dry, and return fire.

As Rhino stated, the "night game" was definitely different but still so much fun. I was a little hesitant on how the squad vs. squad thing was going to work out considering that lots of people didn't play it but with the guys we ran with it turned out to be uber cool. We played the sneaky game for most of it and when we had to engage, boy did we... FYI: Nods are badass B)

I really can't express how much fun I had this past weekend, and I wish I could put my entire experience down in text but that would take an eternity...I will say this though, if you're on the fence about going to a big OP like this one, DO IT. It may seem daunting at first with all the rules, regs and so on but once you get there and situated it's just like a bigger pick up game at a pretty awesome AO (area of operation).

Definitely wanting to go back to MUTC for IRENE whenever that is, and also looking forward to running with you guys again at whatever the next big OP is!

"About time you got around to this, Red!"

Bite me.

I'm glad the night game was covered. I was needed at home, so I bailed. (everything is a-okay)

Pro's

1. The AO. It was nice, varied and plenty to muck with.

2. Sportsmanship! I encountered a lot of really good players, tan and green.

3. The best kill to date: Grenade pistol blast from the ground floor to the second floor. Lots of fun with grenades were had.

4. Running with some solid guys. Enjoyed it like none other.

5. Bubba. Both him and Nextmayor were on top of things, pushing the front lines, and bringing overall rad-itude to whatever they knocked over. Genuine pleasure.

6. I have all of my teeth.

So... The other things... What were they? Oh, yeah:

Con's

1. The AO. Big and cool as it was, we only got to use a small patch. Not a deal breaker, but it can make for some limited engagements.

2. I believe it rained.

3. While sportsmanship was indeed top notch, I was shot while clearly red-ragged, once. I also received friendly fire, once. I was 10 feet away from fellow green team whist bleeding out, also once. I proceeded to die. Crappens, I get it.

4. This is heinous enough to receive it's very own spot on the list: One nasty instance of hit-calling. Point blank range with my shotgun, guy ran into us, proceeded to "bang bang" us (bullcrap right there) and kill the rest of the squad. He "heard it go off, but didn't feel anything". Hrn.

5. They moved SOCOM's starting spawn area way up at the beginning of the second scenario. Shenanigans.

I kid you not, that's it for con's.

The tanks were handled in an alright manner. There were more friendly than not, but I have been on the receiving end of that before, and can make for some fun tension possibly. One SOCOM player had 19 tank kills by the end of the second scenario. Cheers to that fellow.

The ambient combat noises were an excellent touch, and made for some glorious chaos. I was, however paranoid that I would wander to close to one as it goes off, and deafen me. Fortunately, never happened.

I had oodles and oodles of fun. Aside from a handful of meh items, overall very positive experience. IRENE might happen for me, might not. Depends on the budget.

8/10 would pew pew again.

Sounds like I need to put together a nice kit and try to make it to one of these events?

Definitely saw the changes from 3 years ago.  Glad to be back on this AO.  Good memories, good times.

Joker did Joker stuff.  Asylum handled business as our Medic/Corpsman/White Mage/Warlock with Healing abilities.

I think I go to see old friends and to make new ones.  Asylum and Stackhouse, you two are pure Sub-Contractor material.  Definitely good additions to any squad.

I wanted to get to the top of Castle Greyskull at least once that weekend, but I didn't.  That's ok, there's always IRENE..... :excl:

Obviously, my AAR is more of a Kudos/Reminiscing deal.  What I would have said who echo everything else that has been said.  No sense in that.

5. They moved SOCOM's starting spawn area way up at the beginning of the second scenario. Shenanigans.

I don't know why they thought that was a good idea.  They didn't extend WARSAW the same courtesy, but that's ok.  I spent most of the day on a roof, MAKING IT RAIN!!!

Sounds like I need to put together a nice kit and try to make it to one of these events?

So long as you're 18 and can cover the registration fee.
