Welder22
I don't wanna make anybody mad or anything, may just be me, doesn't the p* thing take some realism outta airsoft? I used to play paintball and that was always my problem with it who carries a tank and hopper on a battlefield lol. I guess just don't understand the logic yea they shoot harder and stuff but can't you achieve the same thing with a well modded aeg? Like I said I'm a newb and don't understand but please enlighten me. Not meant to upset anybody just wanna know a general opinion on the subject. AR14
Took me a solid 5 minutes to realize P* meant PolarStar. PolarStars have a lot of mechanical benefits but so long as the user is careful with how they equip their tank and hose, you barely notice it during gameplay. That said it doesn't affect realism too much, especially when you hear a rough AEG motor on a SAW cranking out plastic compared to the soul-searing, bruise-inducing, ear-pleasing hum of an HPA system. Still costs like $500 though. Edited October 30, 2017 by Snuffles

Attach a cream-filled banana (if you don't know what that is, look it up) and you'll be hearing mouse farts for days; can't do that with an AEG. I thought the tank and line would be a nuisance when I first played, but like Snuffles said, it's barely noticeable when you get out onto the field. Uhhhh real steel suppressors are still louder than a vaccuum, so i wouldn't exactly say mouse farts are realistic. If that's what you were getting at, lol. I think you'd be interested in checking out my P90, it can compete with the sound output of most HPAs Edited October 31, 2017 by Noxtoof
Joker
Initially HPA systems gained popularity due to their ability to play in cold weather conditions far better than those using batteries. Then there was/is the increased rate of fire and increasing the FPS with the turn of a nob. But all systems have their pros and cons. And just like everything it's mostly all about personal preference. ~Joker
Welder22
Thanks for the clarification on that. From what I've seen seems like a lot of people run the P*. Think I will just stick with the aeg and figure them out lol.
