Eagle
In short, I had an awesome time. It was great meeting new people and trading some plastic. Here's a quick pros and cons breakdown: PROS:-Fun AO with a well balanced attendance-Getting to use my new AEG -No issues with hot guns or hit calling, everyone was very respectable-Awesome way to end my weekend after the sub-par WCA game CONS:-I'm not a fan of full auto indoors, I think its a way for people to get hurt as it doesn't promote trigger discipline quite like semi auto-FPS limits: I don't think we had any issues today, but as the games get more frequent and the players in the area tune their guns for CQB play, I certainly wouldn't be opposed to 350 FPS max limits. Not my field of course, but simply my opinion. Thankfully we didn't have any issues today Overall I had a great time, thanks to the Anderson guys for having us out. hrturner
Thanks Corman for letting us come out to play! The field was definitely better than I was thinking it would be. Pro's:1) Field was bigger than I was expecting, the field easily accommodated the 20 people who were there.2) Able to put a lot new faces with new names now! 3) Looking forward to another game/build day out there, definitely need to get that glass swept up.4) First game I had been to were Bang kills were actually used the right way, kudos to everyone who accepted/used bang kills today.5) Getting to run with the Northern Lights crew for a CTF game. Con's:1) Had to leave early2) Minor box mag issue but was able to get it fixed without getting shot!

BigAltes
First let me say thanks for having myself and LilAltes come out and check this place out, anytime I can get some good CQB practice in is a VERY GOOD THING. UP’S 1: C.Q.B.............. can not say it any better, been playing only fields for most of this year, and this is just what the doctor ordered 2: Meeting new players, always a good thing, looking forward to running with endgame and rated r again. 3: Getting a chance to teach some new players some tricks and airsoft’s do’s and DON’T’S DOWN’S 1: lots of players not following goggle safely, I don’t want anybody getting hurt, so please keep those on at all times when playing 2: I feel the same way as Eagle on the FPS, and about full-auto, that could be used to a EO's advantage, let me explain:you have a event of about 20 or so guys, in that number you might have a equal mix of vets with teams, some causal players and some new players with not very good guns. Now when you do crono have all the young /new players use full-auto (force equalizer for being new) and have everybody else go semi only. I would hope that the vets would try to teach some Trigger control to the young players as the game rolls along 3: Not have the windows boarded up, I think this might be a issue for you guys in the future, It will be almost impossible to have a night game (the cops will get so many calls they would have to shut it down) Thanks again to Corman11 for inviting me and Thomas P.S.Eagle Great job on clearing out that stairwell at the end of the game, same game from my camhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skCkxcVi5SY&feature=youtube_gdata

-Rogue-
Wow! It a good time to get out and meet new people. The facility is great and has lots of potential. First off, I should apologize for my pushiness at the event. I should have been more hands-off. Couple of admin issues that could be easily resolved. 1. Have a set staging area. Players were all over the place and rounding them up was hard. 2. Have a set safe area. Players were confused on where they could and could not have loaded weapons. 3. Allow people to park near the entrance door. It will reduce the amount of people with real-looking guns on the street and they do not have to walk as far. 4. Maintain firm control of players. Set time limits between games and stick to them. 5. Have a plan for the day. It was obvious you were shooting from the hip, but at least have a general idea. 6. Make sure respawn and medic rules are known by all. There was confusion during games. My comments below are meant to impart knowledge from an EO who has run great (and terrible) games. When you run a game, you will need to ensure the following minimum items happen. 1. When you say you are going to collect monies, collect it! While I appreciate a free game, EOs need money to cover their expenses or purchase new items (such as a Chrono). An easy way to catch paid versus non-paid players is the use of common wristbands like you see at fairs. Only allow people that have wristbands on to the field, ensuring that you have collected your due compensation.Usually, when one pays, have them turn in their liability form then as well. This reduces the check-in steps. While it can be annoying to players, have all players complete a new waiver each time they arrive to play.Keep the waivers on file. You never know what may happen, especially with players that you do not know.Reinvest the money in your field. Your first purchase should be a chrono.2. CHRONO! As an EO, the entire liability of an even rests on your shoulders. The best way to limit that liability is to mitigate risks under your control. Check EVERY weapon that comes into your field. This includes AEGs, GBBs, etc. Usually EOs will ignore green gas pistols, but should chrono C02 since they sually shoot harder. When you check a weapon, have a method of tagging it. When you see a weapon without a tag, you know they snuck the weapon in.Set hard chrono limits and do not allow exceptions. If you do, you open yourself back to liability.3. Safety is PARAMOUNT!Again (I cannot say this enough), as the EO it is your responsibility for everyone. Enforce your rules.Set safe zones where safety rules are enforced without exception. Rules should include:Magazines Out, Weapons Clear prior to exiting the live-fire area.If one is in the live-fire area, goggles are ON. No exceptions. If you allow shooting glasses, they MUST have a strap that holds them close to the face. I saw a few players loose them when the looked down or moved quickly.Have a cell phone with emergency contact information ready on you at all times.Have a full safety briefing prior to the start of the first round. Ensure all players know your rules.Be at the entrance of the field for every game checking bands on players and weapons.Enforce the need for death rags.Always have a radio set to the "Admin Channel" (Usually Channel 1) listening in case of troubles.5. Set FPS limits appropriate to your game. In CQB, fields commonly limit FPS at 350.Some CQB field also require semi-only. It is your choice, but ensure that your rule is known.6. Have a way to easily designate teams. I would recommend bandannas or colored electrical/duct tape. You really did a good job your first outing out. Do not be discouraged, as most of this becomes second-nature after an event or two. You also have the option of allowing others to EO an event with you assisting. Learn from their experience and mannerisms. The passing of knowledge is how this sport perpetuates and grows!
