PELI
I would like to thank mod squad for putting on this game I had a good time and it seemed like non stop action all day I know some probably were not happy with the game ending sooner but if the game had been on the original field objectives would have taken longer to complete. the field was very fun the buildings are a great thing there where a few choke points but that could be taken care of a few ways. somehow again I ended up as CO and I would like to thank tan on how great of a job they did I know comms where not the best mid way through the day I was carrying 2 radios and it was still hard to keep up with things and having a few players without radios made it more difficult. too all players that want to play milsim type games buy a radio it dose not have to something fancy or even new just a standard 2 way 22 channel radio and one that the call button and talk button are hard to press when moving around if you look around on ebay or craigs list you can pick up 2 radios for under 20$ 3 UPS of the day 1 lots of action 2 decent player turn out 3 fighting around and in the buildings 3 DOWNS 1 Blind firing and full auto use in and around the buildings the rules were pretty clear 2 sadly no hit calling maybe it is that some newer players play a with different rules but there was some blatant no hit calling and it was caught on tape it was only a few that did this but it was a repeated thing observed by more then one player . 3 the wind my highlight of the day was when we were looking for the laptop and I was looking in one of the trailers and the civilian and greens CO came in and I came up behind him and he thought he was set up. just to make it clear you weren't set up just a random coincidence. also Green you guys did a great job of holding that smaller dormitory all day. that was a thorn in my side all day . blacktalons
Nice AAR Peli! I myself would like to apologize for my team's low turnout. Only 2 of us made it I believe. Stuff came up for a few of us this week (including me) And my internet was down yesterday, so i couldn't let anyone know.
dragon
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the game. Our turn-out was low but this has been a slow season all around it seems like. The change in venue for the event caused some serious issues on the part of planning, so Peli is exactly right. We basically had to re-write the entire game as a result and with how busy we are, we didn't have enough time to make everything exactly how we wanted it to be. I hope that everyone had fun and enjoyed the props though. Ups:Props were freakin cool!! If we continue with these ideas and designs then the future will only be better and more involved. Stay tuned for more!Players seemed to be having a good time on the field and I saw very little complaining at all.The weather was nice except for the 20+ mph winds gusting to what seemed to be 1,000! Downs:The wind was playing all kinds of crazy havoc on people's bb's. That had to be frustrating.Low turn-out, but the number was good for the field size I think.Chrono was junk!!! 118.8 or 0.0 FTL! All in all, I think the event went well and I got some good footage of different parts of play. We could call this KTT 1.5 and I would feel better about it, because this didn't complete the piece of storyline written that was supposed to be KTT2 IMO. Now to secure a field for the next part of the game, definitely a big challenge. Thanks again to everyone!
Bowman
Sustains:1. Realistic props (Hrturner did an amazing job on the props and his hard work attention to detail was clearly evident)2. MilSim mission objectives3. Media coverage (Although not necessary, it’s nice to relive some of those unfortunate moments and also shows not in attendance what they missed) Improves:1. Chrono checking (Just need to procure a reliable chronograph for future events)2. Tempo of the game (EOs may need to force engagements or instill a sense of urgency when there is a lull in the action…even when that’s typically the CO’s job) 3. Team organization, squad integrity, and communication (A player’s responsibility) Other Pros:1. The field provided a dynamic environment even though few engagements happened in the woods2. The weather was nice albeit very windy (of course it was forecasted accurately and players should have planned accordingly i.e. heavy weighted BBs)3. The food at the Mexican restaurant Other Cons:1. Some players not acknowledging hits audibly or visually2. Green team’s lack of urgency when completing objectives3. Late arrival delaying start time Some media: I'll upload the rest later. Eagle
Great pictures guys. Here's my limited AAR: Pros of the event:-Objectives were planned out and, from what I understand, executed well.-The props were the coolest yet-Field was amazing Cons:-People seemed like the objectives went by quickly-I had to leave 30 min into the game for work Can't wait to host another event. I had a lot of fun planning and helping role play briefly.
Mech
Man!! It looks like I really missed out!! I would really be kickin' myself in the ass for missing this if I wasn't taking care of my sick wife. Would have loved to have been at this game. Great pictures everyone. Bowman, love the video! Rob, Mike, Eagle, looks like Modsquad rocked this one!
KillCam
I've been playing airsoft for over a year now and have never been this tired after an event! I did make it back to Indy Zoot Being my first CQB event, there was some adjustment on my end from the normal open field environment. Pros:1) The cool props! 2) Constant missions/objectives3) Perfect temp/humidity Cons:1) My "KillCam" being angled up the whole time Didn't catch much footage that way2) Getting used to my new loadout and almost losing my new pistol. Thanks EO's for helping me find it.3) WIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next KTT.
starblade54
your welcome for finding your pistol killcam hahahha Pros: 1)pretty good sportsmanship all around. No problems to note2)Objectives were well done3)Props were awesome, ESPECIALLY that rocket...that was just really cool Cons:1)WIND2)Either my mic died or Greens comms totally went offline about halfway through the day...3)Did i mention wind?4)My guns...all...died..... I specifically enjoyed the "capture the bomb" mode at the end...when my guns died it allowed me to still play even with being restricted to my pistol. Bowman i believe half the issue with Green not being urgent to get to objectives is I believe our comms went down...i know for a fact i was getting nothing for about half the day. dragon
Nope we won't, the files were corrupted due to my computer problems and all were lost. I'm definitely angry about that, but shit happens unfortunately. Also combined with midterms, Irene prep, and work, I didn't have the time to deal with them anyway.
