I just picked up a Baofeng UV5R radio for the upcoming OP: Homeland, and to be perfectly honest I'm not too radio savvy...What I'm asking is if anyone could help a n00b out with it I'd greatly appreciate it. Basically what I'm not understanding (I know I've spoken to a couple of you about radios before), is could I simply input the channels we're given at the OP into the radio and be able to hear my team/squad? I'll be reading the manual and finding other tutorials about it, but I figured someone here could maybe dumb it down for me. Thanks in advance guys, any help is greatly appreciated!
