No Magazines Fitting Gun

Eligos

Recommended Posts

So my fiance's Echo1 XCR-C will not fit ANY mid-caps that I've purchased for it.

I have tried:

  • Elite Force 140rd
  • KWA K120 120rd
  • G&P Evike High RPS 130rd
  • Evike.com BAMF 190rd

Not a single one will slide in without making me worry about breaking the magwell. I've contemplated filing/sanding down the magazines or magwell.

Does anyone have any advice?

What exactly do you mean by "break" the magwell? have you given any of the mags a little slap when loading them into the rifle? It could just have a tight well.

Yeah I've been slapping the shit out of them. I've found that one of them will seat and load BBs, but won't let the mag release reset from a depressed position.

I see, is it the Polymer or metal XCR? if its the polymer one is there any sort of uneven plastic/any burrs on the inside of the magwell?

Its a polymer XCR. I've been trying to inspect the inside to find where most of the contact is coming from, but haven't been having much luck.

Been hand-sanding down the BAMF magazine to little success, may have to switch to sanding a little bit from the magwell.

How is the airsoft scene at doing magazine trades?

She'll need at least 2 mid-caps for this Mutual Combat event and I'll do whatever it takes to make sure she can play, so she isn't stuck carrying only a single high-cap.

If anything I'd recommend sanding the magwell that way the rifle can accept more than just the mags you've sanded.

if you need, I should have a couple mags that she could borrow for the Mutual Combat game, they'd be K120s though. I have a couple other misc. midcaps as well we could try out. I'll be on green team w/ an AS VAL

If you bought it recently from a business, I'd exchange it before trying to modify the rifle itself. You'd void any warranty and potentially make it difficult to resell later.

Bear is correct, I didn’t even think about it being a new (store bought) rifle.
