Kranman
I was looking at going to Spec Ops to get some of my friends into airsoft because I've seen that they will rent out guns and I don't have enough loaners to supply them all at once. Before I commit to this, I have a few questions about the place. Does anyone know what kind of guns that they rent out? Will I be required to wear their mask rather than my own? Do they have limits on FPS? Is the outdoor field open year round? Edited October 12, 2017 by Kranman
Rex
Check out their website. I believe most of this information is on there.
Kranman
Check out their website. I believe most of this information is on there. It seems that I've been navigating their website without realising that they have a sections for rules. It answered the fps question(400 for outdoor and 300 for indoor) and yes I can wear my own mask. But I brings up more questions. In the rules it says that you need a helmet if you're under 18, but they don't rent them out. Do they count paintball masks as helmets? EDIT: After some further reading it seems that they chrono with .20, .25, and .28 bbs. "The maximum velocity of all weapons shall be referenced in the form of muzzle velocity in feet-per-second with the Hop-up turned off, using 0.20-0.25-0.28 gram BB." Is this true? If so then fps limits are much less of a problem. Also helmets are only required for cqb, but my question still stands. If so then fps limits are much less of a problem. If I'm understanding correctly, this does not mean that you can bring a 370fps gun and chrono it with .28g BBs in order to meet the requirements. Most fields will allow people to chrono with a higher weight BB but then will base their decision on the joule output of the gun, rather than the fps. Every indoor field i have been to uses this method.
Crimson
Give them a Call rhino is a great guy and will answer all your questions. You also have to use field bb's .. If you dont have a helmet for indoor they will give you one. The sell all kinds of gear. Most of there rental guns are Valkin. but they have all kinds of new stuff for the outdoor.
