Hey guys.  Second attempt here, now with GoPro footage.  This is from the McCordsville game on Sunday.  It was hot, but we had a great game!

Let me know if you have any tips...

Keep it up!

Quality on those cameras is really good. Will be even better once you get auto focus sorted out.

Trying to figure out why the field looks different since the last time I was there...

Yeah...I read I can set it to "landscape" which will prevent it from focusing on up close objects.  We'll see if that helps.  (Kinda duh though....)

Well all the foliage filled in a bit, so it was more overgrown.

Adobe Premiere.  I get it through my work CC membership, otherwise I would never have access to it.

That's what I use. Adobe Premiere FTW. Have you messed around with color correction or image stabilization at all?

No I haven't - something I should do?  Difficult?

I have a mad new respect for video editors...just to do this basic stuff was like 15+ hours.  But then again I'm not super fast.

It's not necessary, just a way to spice up videos and really make them pop. Color correction is easy to learn how to do, but takes forever to do well as it requires you to apply the effect, then adjust a bunch of different sliders until the color in the image looks good to you, then watch that whole video clip or segment to see if the adjustment looks good throughout the entire thing. If it doesn't then you gotta start over lol.

Image stabilization is just a crap shoot really. If your video is kinda vibratey but not shakey (I hope that makes sense lol), then it will work wonders. But if you are trying to stabilize a shot that looks like the person operating the camera has Parkinson's then it will cut down your resolution like crazy and warp the video edges to make things smooth.

Yeah, most people don't realize just how long this stuff actually takes lol

I'll see if I can give it a shot on the next one.  At this point, I might not mess with it because honestly...only a handful of people are watching these.  If I get a few more hits I'll start putting in some more time on them.

  • 2 months later...

Noxtoof's gun is so quiet.

Agreed.  I've fired it a couple of times and it actually scares me...

Ever seen his P90? Even quieter.
