Chronos
Hey guys. I recently bought an APS2 sniper, but I'm having issues with it. It works fine for one shot, but will not cock a second time. I've looked at the trigger assembly, and every time I take it out, the trigger sear has been knocked out of place, and I have to reset it. It then fires only once again, and I have to repeat the process. What's wrong with the gun? Trigger issues, or cylinder?
Echo
Hope this helps, but I think your sear is worn out.
AceReaper
Buy a new metal trigger box, or upgrade your system to a zero trigger. Your problem is definitely the sear, and potentially the trigger box itself has split, which would cause the sear to move around like you're describing. Buy either a metal trigger box, or a zero trigger, and your problem should be solved. just know if you go the zero trigger route, you'll need to upgrade several things at the same time. Chronos
Got it all fixed. I had a zero trigger assembly, but the trigger was too big. It's apparently a mix between APS2 and Type-96, so my Type-96 trigger assembly actually fit, besides the trigger. I cut out the bottom near the trigger so it fits now, as it's an L96 stock. Thanks for the help guys, and I'll hopefully see you all on Sunday. Too bad the sniper limit at that field is 500fps. I've got enough upgrades to get it close to 600. AceReaper
Type 96 parts are APS2 parts, just labeled differently. The only L96 that isn't compatible with APS2 parts is the tokyo marui one, because it's a really weird and short stroke system. Well, the shitty VSR style L96's aren't APS2 compatible, but that's because it's a VSR thrown into an L96 stock from brands that can't make a decent aftermarket compatible rifle to save their lives. J, if you attend blind fury this year, you can run a high FPS sniper rifle. I ran my L96 there at 560 FPS (the installed sorbo dropped it to 560 from 592). Just mind your MED when running a high fps rifle
Chronos
Well, now I really don't know what's wrong with it. I've checked almost everything, but very little air is coming out of the barrel. The bbs just slide down the barrel when you point it down. Only thing I haven't checked is the barrel, but it doesn't seem to be a barrel issue. The entire kit is supposed to be upgraded to 500+ fps, so no idea why it isn't producing enough air.
AceReaper
What hop unit are you using?
Chronos
Honestly have no idea. That probably is the issue though. I bought this gun from Crosman (yes, I know they make horrible guns, but it was $40) and planned to upgrade most everything except the hop-up and barrel. I have done just that, but now that it still doesn't work, I think I'm gonna have to change it out. Just a little nervous, I broke my last sniper trying to replace the hop-up unit. AceReaper
Upload a picture of the hop unit. That'll tell me if you can swap it to a better one or find a replacement hop rubber.
Chronos
Ok, now this is really weird. I took a look at the hop-up, and while incredibly cheap, there's nothing wrong with it. I decided to try putting the stock parts back into the gun instead of the upgrades, and now it shoots. However, every time I try and put the upgraded spring guide, spring, piston, and cylinder head back in, the gun does not fire. Any ideas? AceReaper
The cylinder head may be too long, causing the bbs to go rolling down the barrel. The other thing is, your parts may not work with the crosman rifles. They should work with a WELL (AKA a piece of shit) rifle, or the UTG, or the true maruzen aps2, but they may not work with the crosman version because crosman tends to make things weirdly.
