civey
I was wondering what every one thought about using a giant water balloon sling shot, to simulate mortar fire? Obviously not to effective in woods, but would do great in the fields. Perhaps fill balloons with corn starch, or baby powder and air, instead of water (for cooler weather). Just let me know what you think. It's just a thought (for now)..
Darth
Why not just build a nerf launcher? Or if you are really brave. There are the co2/water powered mortar. Those are pretty unsafe. But are cool looking.
civey
I figured water Balloons would be a little safer than the Hades rocket mortars. Besides water balloon launcher is $20-30. Not much chance of it blowing up in my face. Lol Edited January 19, 2015 by civey
jj999125
couple HPA tanks, PVC piping/fittings, valves, contact cement, and alot of nerf rockets and you have yourself a mortar
Endgame
Plenty of C02 and HPA launchers out there using Nerf balls and rockets. Besides, I'd be like a cat who just got water dumped on it if water balloons involved: wet, angry and seeking revenge.
hrturner
couple HPA tanks, PVC piping/fittings, valves, contact cement, and alot of nerf rockets and you have yourself a mortar Have exactly this... Actually dont even need HPA tanks. Simply using a bicycle pump gets these mortars ready to go. They work really well. Have been able to launch nerf rockets almost 85 yards at 60-70 psi. Joker
My favorite ones are the one Blade uses in OH. They don't actually shoot any projectiles but they randomly make a loud boom as if one was shooting. Great affect for events. ~Joker
