Classic Army M15A4 PMC (X-Series)

I purchased this rifle two years ago, and it's still the same beast that it was then (just with a little help).

Factory Specs:

Features:

-Metal Body and One Piece metal outer barrel

-Metal Rail System

-Flip-Up sights

-Crane Stock

-Ball Bearing Metal Spring Guide and Piston Head

-Reinforced Cylinder and Air Nozzle

-7mm Ball Bearing Mechbox

-300rd Hi-Cap Magazine

-363mm barrel

-Pre-Upgraded to 400FPS

This gun is everything it is advertised to be. Very solid in it's construction, no wobble at all (with the exception of the plastic crane stock).

Externally, it is tough - full metal body construction with a one piece metal barrel. It does include all the Armalite markings including a serial number.

Internally - very well constructed. CA Reinforced V 2 gearbox, 7mm Ball Bearings, and a reinforced piston. I was impressed the first time I took this all down (chose to go with a different cylinder just from personal preference). The compression is absolutely beautiful! I cannot force the piston down the cylinder with my finger over the air nozzle. I'm not a fan of the stock spring (though it does come out of the box at ~400 fps, after two years, with little compression on the spring, it's gone down to 328 FPS. I've just recently stripped it down, regreased the box and replaced the spring with a new 120 spring.

This rifle after two years still has quite a bite. After working on the GB, I walked out about 100 ft and took a round square in the back that had enough zing to still make me do the "Ow, $#%&" dance.

I would recommend a new barrel and hop up bucking - the stock ones are good, but they could be much better - grouping at 100 ft with .23 is a little looser than I would like, but still good enough to reach out and pop someone.

Another plus is that the crane stock is large enough to fit a 9.6v 4200 mA crane stock battery. I know I could just use a LiPo and change out the stock, I'm just not ready to do that yet (so please, no thread-crapping about how wonderful LiPos are).

I would highly recommend this rifle to anyone looking for more than just the average M4 - the only problem would be that it took me about six - seven months to track down one (brand new in box).

Great review and very nice weapon!

Thanks! Very proud to own this, especially as elusive as it was. One thing I forgot to add is that it is the exact weight of a RS AR - did a side by side comparison.
